AI Engineer – Nagoya/Osaka/Tokyo, Japan

We are urgently hiring experienced AI Engineers to join a major Japanese software company with an attractive compensation package. Experience

• Required: Professional hands-on experience applying AI or developing AI-related solutions.
• Required: Previous work experience at an IT company in Japan.
• Strong understanding of software development fundamentals.
• Familiarity with relational databases and Git/version control workflows.

Language

• Japanese: JLPT N2 or above.
• Business-level Japanese communication skills for day-to-day work and collaboration.

Nice to Have

• Academic background or coursework in AI, machine learning, deep learning, or data science.
• Experience with LLMs, generative AI, or AI-integrated applications.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Practical experience using AI tools to improve development efficiency and software quality.

• Design, implement, and test software solutions incorporating AI technologies.
• Apply AI tools and techniques to improve development efficiency and product quality.
• Contribute to basic design, database design, and API design.
• Collaborate with BrSE and frontend teams to deliver features end to end.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Investigate production issues and propose technical and AI-driven improvements.
