Embedded / Semiconductor Engineer (FAE) – Tokyo / Nagoya, Japan

We are urgently seeking experienced Embedded / Semiconductor Engineers to join a major Japanese software company and work on long-term projects for enterprise clients in Japan. The role combines embedded and semiconductor engineering with Field Application Engineering (FAE), including technical support, troubleshooting, customer communication, and solution development. Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience with C, C++, or Python
• Experience in embedded systems and/or semiconductor-related projects
• Experience in technical support, troubleshooting, customer support, or FAE-related activities is highly preferred
• Previous work experience at an IT company in Japan is required
• Candidates with semiconductor industry experience must specify the names of the semiconductor manufacturers (半導体メーカー) they have previously worked with or supported

Language

• Japanese: JLPT N2 or above, with business-level communication skills for day-to-day work

Nice to Have

• English proficiency
• Experience as an FAE / Field Application Engineer
• Experience with semiconductor products, electronics, automotive systems, or embedded platforms
• Experience working directly with Japanese customers

• Provide technical support and consultation to customers for embedded and semiconductor-related products and systems
• Analyze customer requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions
• Troubleshoot technical issues, perform debugging, testing, and root-cause analysis
• Support product evaluation, prototyping, system integration, and technical verification
• Coordinate technical issues and requirements between customers, development teams, R&D teams, and semiconductor manufacturers
• Communicate with customers regarding technical specifications, product functionality, issues, and solutions
• Prepare technical documents, reports, specifications, and other materials in Japanese
• Collaborate with Japanese engineers and internal development teams to ensure smooth project execution
